噴淋塔內填料層作為氣液兩相間接觸構件的傳質設備。填料塔底部裝有填料支承板，填料以亂堆方式放置在支承板上。填料的上方安裝填料壓板，以防被上升氣流吹動。噴淋塔噴淋液從塔頂經液體分布器噴淋到填料上，并沿填料表面流下。
     氣體從塔底送入，經氣體分布裝置分布后，與液體呈逆流連續通過填料層的空隙，在填料表面上，氣液兩相密切接觸進行傳質。 當液體沿填料層向下流動時，有時會出現壁流現象，壁流效應造成氣液兩相在填料層中分布不均，從而使傳質效率下降。因此，噴淋塔內的填料層分為兩段，中間設置再分布裝置，經重新分布后噴淋到下層填料上。
      適用注意事項
1、循環水量的調節：由噴淋塔供水泵來決定，當運行一臺鍋爐時開一臺即可，當冬季兩臺或三臺同時運行時，將兩臺水泵全部打開，泥漿泵其流量應根據循環泵的流量來調節，使其相等即可。
2、噴淋塔內加藥池內的加藥量：當運行一臺鍋爐時，加入堿2袋，加入熟石灰5袋，如冬季運行兩臺或三臺時，可按相應倍數增加藥量。
3噴淋塔沉淀池要經常清理，夏天一周清理一次，冬季三天清理一次。
4、灰水分離器排污時，每班排放一次，要分別打開排污閥門，直到有清水排出為止。
5、以上各轉動部件要經常檢查、注油，發現故障要及時排除，以保證噴淋塔脫硫效果。
6、在上、下樓梯加藥時要注意安全，要有自主保安，相互保安意識。
7、工作完畢要及時清理好衛生，做到人走場地清。
