用Van Veen采泥器可以從任意想要的深度進行采樣。
在它被沉入水中過程中,兩根桿被鎖定,并且離得
很遠,采泥口處于打開狀態。當它與水床接觸時,
閉合器被釋放;當繩纜被拉緊并向上拉動時,采泥
器口就會關閉。
