石英砂濾料是目前我國使用Z廣、用量Z大的一種濾料，它適用于單層、雙層快速濾池和工業高純度濾水的承托層。
石英砂濾料是我國目前使用極其廣泛的一種濾料。
我廠生產的石英砂濾料，是天然石英礦經破碎、篩選、水洗而成，多棱形色純白，無雜質，密度2.66、硅含量為99.3％,機械強度7.5度。
目前部分地區使用天然河砂、海砂作濾料，雖然造價低廉，但使用期短，機械強度差，易破碎。石英砂比天然砂使用周期延長3-4倍。且濾后水質穩定，從經濟效益看，相對比較，本石英砂比河砂和海砂還是低廉得多。
